Senior Stuff

by SHARON PLUCK

Well I am so happy to finally have launched by website, SeenAgersNow.com.  I hope to blog about travel, senior well-being and general interest to seniors and I will be linking the blogs to my Youtube channels.

I hope that you are excited too – because this is really your website, your blog, your Youtube Channel.  I envision my audience as a group of baby-boomers who want to watch and read stories relevant to them.

General Senior Stuff category & Youtube channel

So this is my first Blog Post for General Senior Stuff category and I need to mention that I also I created a youtube page to go along with this category and it’s called seenagersnow.  Here is the link https://studio.youtube.com/channel/UCNAgEHMXEeO3lyMWPdS7aFA

This Youtube channel is brand new.  I envision this channel as a channel for boomers where they can watch videos related to their interests.

I hope to do some tutorials, like the one I already published on navigating Youtube, so seniors can learn how to use these social platforms.

You may even want to learn how to start your own Youtube channel, and I can help teach you how to do that.  You see, Youtube is really a wonderful social platform.  Is is growing fast and Seniors are a growing demographic.

And listen to this my fixed income Boomers – Youtube Entrepreneurship is the fastest growing small business right now.  Don’t believe me, check out this video.

I may do a lot of live sessions.  This allows the audience to be more interactive via chat, and it also eliminates a lot of editing time for me.  Remember, I’m running 3 other Youtube channels.

Topics Related to Seniors

So in this General Senior Stuff Blog Category, I will be writing about general issues related to seniors.  I especially want to offer some technical advice and tutorials for seniors who aren’t that tech savvy.

To say I was furious when the COVID vaccination was first available and everyone had to sign up online – would be an understatement.  I was appalled that the most vulnerable (senior citizens) had to figure out how to navigate a computer scheduling system to get vaccinated.  Really?

And yes, I’m a bit annoyed that Technology is not very senior-friendly.  My poor mother has the hardest time even working her cellphone!

I hope to also blog about this new journey of retirement that I’m on.  I find that it can be very confusing – when to take SSI, when one qualifies for Medicare, Widows benefits, etc.  There’s so much to learn.

Informative and Humorous

So I wanted to blog about this senior journey.  My goal is that this blog will be informative, but hopefully it offers a lot of humor also.  I’m big on humor.  Life is too serious and we have to laugh to get through this

thanks for joining me on this journey.

Maybe you can teach an old dog new tricks.
